Forrest A. Staley
Forrest Arlie Staley, 67, of Lowell died May 31, at a local hosptial. He was born November 25, 1895 in Stewart, Nebraska, moved to Oregon 50 years ago. He had lived in the local area for the past 14 years.Mr. Staley was married in Newberg, on August 19, 1922 to the former Vivian McClaflin, who survives.Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Alfred McDaniel and Mrs. Wayne Winfrey, both of Fall Creek, six grandchildren, one brother, Allyn of Portland, three sisters, Clara Small of Balston, Elma Mikkonen of Portland and Violet Shires of Scappoose, several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday June 4, in Mt Vernon Cemetery, with Mr. Earl Hastings of the Fall Creek Christian church officiating. Buell Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Due to the family's request the casket will remain closed.
