Ralph W. Bowman, 93, formerly of Trailwood and the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at the Partridge Tippett Nursing Facility at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township.

Born July 4, 1907, in Enola, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Emma A. (Shepley) Bowman. He attended Enola schools and was a pressman for the former International Color Printing Co. He was a member, deacon, financial secretary, Sunday school teacher and choir member of the Parsons Welsh Baptist Church, serving on its Board of Trustees, was a member of Grand Lodge F & AM and the Irem Temple String Band, was active in the local pressman's union and was a president, vice president and secretary of the Wilkes-Barre PP & AU Local 137.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Sarah E. Heller; sister, Sara Jane Yeager; and brothers, David and Earl.

Surviving are his daughters, Betty and Shirley Jones, both of Wilkes-Barre; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Horne. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton, Franklin Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Osterhout Free Library North Branch, Wilkes-Barre.
