Vera E. Cantwell-Eagleson, (née Hall) passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Clement Manor Assisted Living Center in Greenfield, WI. Vera was born on Oct. 1, 1918, in LaRose, IL, the second child to Carl Alfred Hall and Nina Kristina Johansson.

Growing up in Necedah, Wis., Vera graduated from Necedah High School in 1936. She graduated from Miss Browns School of Business in Milwaukee. Vera went on to work in Madison for a variety of state and federal agencies.

She married John Francis Cantwell on Jan. 11, 1942. He passed away in May of 1973. Moving to Kenosha, Wis., Vera and John raised seven children; Jean (Frank) Kovac, John (Carol) Cantwell, Rita (Terry) Socha, Mary Ann (Richard) Pedtke, Mark (Eileen) Cantwell, Nina Ruskey, Paul (Shelly) Cantwell. Vera has nine grandchildren; David, Alicia, Jennifer, Andrew, Nathan, Allyson, Claire, Tischa, Kaitlyn and four great grandchildren, Kiahra, Rylan, Henry and Frederick.

Vera married John F. Eagelson on Jan. 22, 1977, in Kenosha. He passed away the same year. She is preceded in death by her brother, John Fredrick Hall.

Vera worked at Catherines Hospital in Kenosha as a Medical Records Librarian and later as a Medical Records Director. Vera was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, dear friend, volunteer, enthusiastic reader, and world traveler. Her extended families at Saint Anne and Saint Mary Catholic Church in Kenosha were her cherished friends.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Staff at Clement Manor Assisted Living and Hometown Hospice for the compassionate and loving care they provided mother.

Visitation on THURSDAY, Feb. 20, 2014, at CLEMENT MANOR CHAPEL (3939 South 92nd Street, Greenfield) from 9-10 AM. Mass Of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Entombment to follow All Saints Cemetery 3300 SpringBrook Road, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Please meet directly at the cemetery office at 12:30 PM.
