Dewey was the son of Veldee and Nellie Jennings.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He was always gentle, kind and patient. He enjoyed teaching us new things, especially practical skills and fun things like water skiing and fishing.

He was a football player for McCormick, SC High School. He could out run and spin out of just about any tackle to cross the goal line for a score.

Dewey served in the US Coast Guard during the Korean War.

Dad taught us to appreciate the simple things in life. He loved playing his harmonica, singing little ditties, and dancing a silly jig. Entertaining the grand and great grandkids gave him such joy!

He had a great sense of humor. He loved little pranks and jokes. The flying man in the mirror was one his favorites and we all loved watching him show someone how he could "fly"!

Puttering in his workshop (Dukes' Den), working in the yard, and repairing things were some of his favorite pass times.

Family was the most important part of his life. He was always there for us and made every one of us special to him.

The memories are so sweet, his love lives on.

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think
Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
The years go by, as quickly as a wink
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!
