Margaret White was the eldest daughter of John and Ann White, who also are buried at Purity. Margaret married James Kennedy, but the date of marriage and the number of children if any are unknown for now, but there appears to have been at least one child by probable implication, a James Kennedy, Jr. James Kennedy was the son of another James Kennedy, or so it is believed, who is buried between the man and his wife.

Margaret is recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) as a female patriot for her service. She suffered losses from the enemy and also helped feed the Continental Troops.

This James Kennedy the elder is thought to be possibly the father of Robert also buried with family on this row, James Sr., the younger of the two James being perfect to be a brother to Robert and James the elder the father to them both.

This is speculation but premised on a strong clue of burial proximity.
