Lavera A. Hein, 95, of Evansville passed away at 3:10 am, Friday, March 3, 2017 at her home.

Lavera was born February 19, 1922 in Vanderburgh County, Indiana the daughter of the late Carl and Helena (Temme) Schultz. She was a 1939 graduate of Millersburg High School and was a member of their Alumni Association. Lavera was a 50 plus year member of First Christian Church and had previously attended Zoar Evangelical United Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and puzzles.

She is survived by son, Dale Hein of Santa Claus, IN; grandchildren, Jeff Hein (Amber) of Vincennes, IN and Jeremy Hein (Tasia) of Jasper, IN and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Alison, Dru, and Elyssa Hein.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Gilbert Hein and brothers, Norman, Melvin, and Ervin Schultz.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Monday, March 6, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville with Reverend Jerry Clark officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 2 pm until 6 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
