Ann M. Waddell (Oliver) passed away March 1, 2017. She was born October 22, 1931 to Martin and Jaley Oliver in Isonville, KY. She had resided most of her life in and around the Akron area. Ann was a graduate of Boston High School in Peninsula, Ohio in 1949.

She was a member of Lakeview Christian Church. Ann belonged to the Fraternal Order of Police Ohio State Lodge, as well as the Portage Lakes Chapter #2213 of AARP. She worked as a Data Entry Instructor for Roadway Express for 31 years until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Richard who was a private pilot and she also enjoyed many years of camping at Cutty’s Sunset Resort.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; sisters, Edith and Violet; brothers, Stanley, William and Melvin.

She is survived by her son, Rickey (Debbie) Waddell of Wattersonville, PA; daughter Shirley (Bob) Wilburn of Ironton, OH; grandchildren, Jason Waddell, Nathan (Amanda) Fine, Anita (Joe) Fine-Weyers, Eric Waddell, Lee-Ann Miller-Suchy, Jaley Sowder, Rose (Stan) McCloud, Josh (Tressa) Wilburn, Clara Wilburn; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and sister–in-law, Linda Reeves.


Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd., Norton on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating.

Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
