Joe is survived by his wife, Bonnie, they were married for twenty four years. Father of Joseph, James (Audrey), Terry Halterman, Jay Schaefer, Ronda Gutzke (Ronald), Elizabeth Schaefer (Darryld) and David Schaefer (Tammy). Grandfather of Cody, Jimmy, Jr., Hulen, Hayley, Kayla, Christina, Madison, Heaven, Sarah, Matthew, Stephanie, April, Angela, Shannon and Patrick. Brother of Earl Wheatley and Stevenson Wheatley
Joe enjoyed fishing, gardening and horseshoes. He was deeply loved and devoted to the residents of the apartment complex, especially the elderly residents.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 1-6pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers & Connell Chapel) 32515 Woodward (btwn 13-14 Mile)During the visitation there will be a memorial service at 3pm. Interment Grandlawn Cemetery.Joseph is buried with his Mother.
