Roberta aka Birdie's father is Hubert Kenneth Olson who is believed to have died on 17 NOV 2003 in Wilkin County, Minnesota. Hubert's wife Joyce was deceased at the time of Dale and Birdie's marriage. So she never got to meet her grandson Jason Dale Crochet. Since my brother and Huberta were divorced a long time ago in ND, it was difficult but I did managed to locate and reunite her son Jason with his father Dale. Jason at that time told me his mother was very ill and dying from cancer and he really wanted to see and get to know his father, So I made contact with my brother and his current wife. He didn't want to share any new of his brother Keith or mother other than she was ill. It is unknown now if he told me the truth, about anything considering his chosen lifestyle of deceit with his father after their reunion in Louisiana, He lived with then and had to be asked to leave the home. I felt bad that the reunion as he took so much of his savings. I assumed he must have carried a lot of hate for his father, and he took advantage of them. However I didn't now he destroyed his life as around Moorhead, MN. and now Louisiana, For now he is in prison and safe and sound. He doesn't know how his behavior and theft of his fathers income effect his father's heart until his death, His dad loved him with all his heart. I am assuming he does not know of his father or mother's death. I see he is listed as a Olsen in her obituary, However his last name is Crochet and from what Gerry told me shortly after Dale's funeral. Jason was arrested, convicted and sentence to the state pen for a very long time for his committed crimes. The City of Fargo is located in Cass County, North Dakota, along the Red River of the North which forms the border between Minnesota and North Dakota. Jason said his mother resided in Minnesota and from her obituary she die in a hospital in Fargo. I did not record her burial as I do not know if she was cremated or buried.

Hubert Kenneth Olson and Joyce Elaine Carlson who was born May 6, 1933 married on April 15, 1952. In the 1940 census Joyce is seen as age 7 living with her step father Willis H. Anderson and er mother Lavina. Joyce's other spouse was Robert Charles Johnson who died June 10, 1975, She had four children with him. Joyce died January 21, 1980 in International Falls, Koochiching, Minnesota she was the D/O Elmer Carlson and LaVina Marie Barrette. Birdie's father Hubert must of moved own with his life as well as Birdie's obituary mentioned she was survived by a step-mother Mavis.
