Kathryn Jen Decker, 76, of Fullerton passed away Sunday March 5, 2017, after a hard-fought battle with cancer in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loving family. She let go of this world and joined her beloved husband, Jack, after spending the day listening to her family share cherished memories, stories, and laughter.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home with Reverend Janice Farrel officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family.

Kathryn was born on August 31, 1940 to Harry and Hazel (Whittington) Harris in Fullerton. She grew up in Fullerton, graduated from Fullerton High School in 1958, and went to beauty school in Grand Island. She then moved out to California where she met the love of her life, Jack Decker, and was married on September 2, 1961. In no time, their family grew with the addition of their three children, Jack Decker Jr. (of Norco, California), Janet Decker (of Riverside, California), and James Decker (of Fullerton), to be followed by her adored grandchildren Logan McDonald, Megan McDonald, Jackie Decker, Bradi Decker, Koston Espiritu, and Cannon Espiritu (all of California).

She opened her home to some special people and made them part of her family over the years. Because of her open heart, she added Courtney Espiritu (of Riverside, California) to her family, who she viewed as another daughter. She also had honorary grandchildren, Alexandria Head, Brittany Simoneau, Danielle Stewart, and Samantha Reitz, who she viewed as her own.

Kathryn found joy in many things throughout her life. She loved her work, many sports, thrift storing, bread runs to the casinos, bingo, dominos with her friends, bird watching, and most of all, having her large family come together at her home.

Left to celebrate her life are children; grandchildren; siblings, Wilma (Terry) Dufoe of Fullerton, Lowell (Lorraine) Harris of Central City, Ted (Diana) Harris of Belgrade, Lila (Richard) Ritterbush of Belgrade; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; siblings, Twila Harris, Robert Harris, Lyle Harris, Billy Harris, James Harris, Linda J. Harris, Nelda {Betty} (Harris) Smith, Janett (Harris) Bishop, Danielle Stewart, and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
