Helen was born July 21, 1929, to Iver and Ellen (Anderson) Wahl in Larchwood, IA.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son Bradley Dafoe, Sioux Falls, SD; step-sons Michael Dafoe, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Larry Dafoe, Spearfish, SD; brothers Robert Wahl, Colorado Springs, CO, James Wahl and his wife Teri, Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law Gladys Wahl, West Covina, CA; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Visitation will begin at 8 am with the family present from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, 13th & Main. Graveside rites will be held at 10 am at Hills of Rest Memorial Park with a memorial service at 1 pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
