The funeral of Mrs Amanda A Giles was conducted from her late residence on Bluefield avenue at 2 o'clock pm yesterday by Rev Thomas Priddy, and interment was made in Walnut Grove cemetery. Mrs Giles was 67 years of age and had been an invalid for several months. The deceased is survived by her husband, P H Giles, and six children, to-wit: H J Giles and Mrs C P Claytor, of this city; Mrs C C Aaron, of Bristol; Mrs S J Hensel, of Martinsville; Mrs Nora Tatum, of Cretes; and Mrs John Foley, of Portsmouth, O. Mrs Giles had been a member of the Christian church for twenty-four years and left a bright testimony behind her as to her faith in Christ. There was a large crowd of people present at her funeral, which was an evidence of the high esteem in which she was held.
