Patricia Ann Armijo, 63, a 42 year resident of Sierra Vista, AZ passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 after a courageous fight with cancer at home with her husband by her side. Patricia was born on Wednesday, February 28, 1951 in Little Falls, New York to the late Donald Nelson and the late Irene Hanis. Patty's work ethic was her signature. Patty worked over 14 years in the Insurance Business. 11 years as the Environmental director at the Sierra Vista Hospital and 10 years as the Environmental director at Hacienda Nursing Home. In the later years Patty wanted to keep busy by working five years at Fry's and Perfection Cleaning. Patty helped many people with food, clothing and housing throughout the years. Patricia was a companionate animal caretaker and member of the National Humane Society and the World Wildlife Association. Patty will be always remembered for her kind heart and joy of life. Special thinks to Priscilla Clark, Vetta Sneed, Jimmie and Inez Padilla, Saye Takahashi, Brother Rudy Armijo and Sister Melinda Patrick. There support and prayers never wavered. The family would also like to thank Father Greg, Pat Hendrickson and entire staff of Casa de la Paz Hospice. Patricia is survived by her husband, Larry Armijo.
