Mary first married Pinkney Parks in Catahoula Parish April 24, 1862. Pinkney served in the Civil War as a private in Company E, 3rd LA Cavalry. He was captured at Trinity, LA on August 22, 1863 and sent to the hospital. He was later moved to the Smallpox hospital. No further records could be found. It can be assumed Pinkney died there of smallpox.
Mary secondly married T.J. (Thomas Jefferson) Adams in Catahoula Parish November 28, 1867. He was a wounded Confederate veteran. The couple never had children.
Mary died in LaSalle Parish on July 1, 1924. Her death certificate states she was buried in Pine Grove, but no record or tombstone for her burial can be found.
