Ralph Vernon Noggle, 79, 3913 Martel Road, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Galion Community Hospital Extended Care Unit.

Born Feb. 1, 1919, in Marion, he was the son of the late Percy and Louise (Harper) Noggle.

On Sept. 2, 1966, he married Jeanette (Schnable) (Stansbery) Noggle and she survives.

Living most of his life in the Marion and Martel areas, he retired from North Electric in Galion several years ago. He also farmed.

A member of Martel United Methodist Church, he was a former Martel Grange member and a member of the 3 C’s.

He is survived by two sons, Frederick K. Stansbery and wife Susan of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Michael and wife Patricia Stansbery of Pickerington; two granddaughters, Marcy J. Slasor and husband Steven of Bucyrus, and Stacy and husband Thomas Sampson of Reynoldsburg; a grandson, Stephen and wife Jennifer Stansbery of High Point, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Marty Beck, Maridith Slasor and Lauren Sampson; a sister, Esther Chard and husband William of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

He was also previously married to Alma Ethel Midlam on Dec 19, 1949, in Marion, Ohio. She died in a tragic auto accident on Oct. 23, 1965.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus, the Rev. Robert Johncox officiating. Burial is in Iberia Cemetery.
