Thomas Reginald “Reggie” DeLano, Sr., 95, passed away, Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home.

Mr. DeLano was a native of Stafford County and a member of the First Christian Church since the 1930’s. Reggie was a World War II Navy Veteran and had retired as a Planner and Estimator from the FMC plant and from Pates Insurance and Reality.

Mr. DeLano was proceeded in death by his wife of 70 years, Bernice Carter DeLano; his parents, Milo and Alice DeLano; and his seven siblings Louise Satterwhite, Parker Bryant, Milo “Bowles” DeLano, Clarence DeLano, Gilbert DeLano, Lillian Green and Gardner “Brother” DeLano.

He is survived by his two children, Thomas R. DeLano, Jr. and his wife, Patsy and Carole DeLano Owens and her husband, Toby all of Spotsylvania County; four grandchildren, Ted DeLano and his wife, Laura of Orange County, Bryan DeLano of Spotsylvania, Jenny Owens Sites and her husband, Steve of Spotsylvania and Nic Owens of Spotsylvania; and his 10 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Logan and Noah DeLano, Peyton, Lillian and Julianne DeLano, Trent, Landon, Jillian and Channing Sites.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at First Christian Church with Pastor Tracy Lunceford officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. It is the family’s hope that all attendees will return to the church for a meal and gathering of friends and family after the entombment.
