Funeral Services will be held at, 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at Homeward Bound Ministries, 4082 Norway Road, Norway, SC, with the Reverend Henry A. Judy officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Orangeburg, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
Sharon was born May 11, 1949, to the late Eugene M. Adkins and the late Mary Tweed Adkins. She graduated from Orangeburg High School and worked as a Dental Assistant. She volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and was a member of Homeward Bound Ministries, Norway, SC.
Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Angela Denise (Angie) Gibson Judy (Randall) of Orangeburg, SC; a son, Bryan Frederick Gibson (Angela) of Atlanta, GA; a grandson, Thomas Randall Judy of Orangeburg, SC; a brother, Donald Franklin Adkins (Gloria) of England; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by a sister, Linda Diane Adkins.
The family would like to give a special thanks to a valued friend and caregiver, Effie Rivers.
