Thomas Norman Thompson, 73, of Beaumont passed away on October 16, 2016, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. Officiating will be Eric Bender.

Mr. Thompson was born April 4, 1943 to Leslie and Mary Alice (Williams) Thompson in Jackson, MI. He served in the United States Army and worked as an Electrical Engineer. He was an avid bicycler and was instrumental in helping have bike lanes placed throughout the city of Beaumont.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie Thompson and is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Thompson of Beaumont; mother, Mary Alice Thompson of Jackson, MI; daughters, Tina Spangler and husband, Derek of Beaumont and Monica Thompson of Austin and grandchildren, Devyn Thompson, Trinity Spangler and Penelope Fisher. He is also survived by his 2 sisters, JoAnne Ehle and husband, James and Penny Thompson and husband, Michael Red all of Columbia, MD and brother, Barry Thompson and wife, Arreta of Concord, MI.
