Alice Abbot 95, of Broken Bow, formerly of Granite, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at South Crest Hospital in Tulsa.

Alice was born on July 20, 1911, to Luther and Mattie Jo (Kensmore) Atnip in Belton, Texas.

She married Flem "Humpy" Abbott on July 21, 1949, and shortly thereafter moved to Greer County.

They moved to Oklahoma City in the early 1950's when Flem was employed with University Hospital. Flem passed away in 1968, and Alice moved back to Granite where she cared for many people, in their homes.

In January 2002, Alice moved to Dolan Springs, Arizona to spend some time with her son. In November 2003, she moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to live near her daughter until her death.

Alice loved to go fishing, enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends
