The services were conducted by Mrs. Pickering's pastor, Rev. Dr. H.H. Sherman, of the Methodist church, burial was made in the Woodbine Cemetery.
Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mrs. Pickering's son, R.E.L. Pickering, of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Rosa Harrison, a sister and two brothers, H.S. and A.L. Harrison and the wife of the last named, all of Peale's Cross Roads, J.C. Bradford, a brother in law, and Mrs. Bradford, of Tenth Legion, J.W. Pickering and Miss. Lydia Pickering, also of Tenth Legion, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Shrum, Dayton, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanger and daughter of Hinton.
