She was the daughter of the late Buster McSwain and Aldie Elder McSwain.
She was retired from Hoechst Celanese with 23 years of service. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a native of Spartanburg County.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda J. Henderson of Inman, Brenda D. Taylor of Inman and by one sister Zenith McSwain of North Carolina, also by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and by two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Billy Laws, a daughter Marie L. Weathers and by two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Eggers Funeral Home Chapel of Boiling Springs, officiated by the Rev. Paul Smith. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
