ALEXANDER, CURTIS JOSEPH "ALEX"
A retired machinist with Anvil Industries, formerly Yaun Dragline Buckets, with 32 years of service, he died at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at his home in Brusly. He was 70 and a native of Brusly. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting was at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting was at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, at 11 a.m. Thursday, celebrated by the Rev. Eric Gyan. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Theresa "Te" LeJeune Alexander, Brusly; a daughter, Monica Hebert, Brusly; two sisters, Miriam Hebert and Delores Prejean, both of Brusly; a brother, Joe Alexander and his wife Berta Wagner Alexander, Dale City, Va.; three grandchildren, Scott, Melissa and Cody Hebert; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica Meerman and Tristen Beard; a sister-in-law, Sydney and her husband, Walter Griffin Sr., Brusly; a brother-in-law, Shelton LeJeune, Grosse Tete; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Clifford J. and Amelia LeJeune Alexander; and a sister, Beryl Dupuy. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. He was a charter member of the Brusly Hunting Club.
