VEVAY -- Mabel (Carter) Adams, 100, Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mabel (Carver) Adams, age 100, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on February 12, 1906, in Florence, Indiana, the daughter of Richard E. & Anna Mae (Long Du Plan) Carver, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a 1925 graduate of Vevay High School & had resided in the Florence Community the majority of her life. Mabel was a former employee of the old creamery in Florence, Indiana. She was also a former machinist for a machine shop in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mabel was a former cook at the Florence School in Florence, Indiana for several years. She was united in marriage on November 25, 1930, to Roy G. Adams & to this union arrived four sons & two daughters to bless their home. She was a member of the old Florence Methodist Church. Mabel enjoyed her flowers, gardening & word search books. Mabel died Friday, January 26, 2007 at 12:55 pm at her residence in Florence, Indiana.

Mabel will be missed by her daughters: Virginia Ann "Jenny" Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio; Martha Lucille Stephenson & her husband: Harry of Elizabethtown, Indiana; her sons: Richard Roy Adams & his wife: Leona of Florence, Indiana; Frank D. Adams & his wife: Shirley of Georgetown, Ohio; step-daughter: Emma Lou Brindley of Carrollton, Kentucky; 13-grandchildren, 2-step grandchildren, 28-great grandchildren & several step-great grandchildren & step-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard E. & Anna Mae (Long Du Plan) Carver; her husband: Roy G. Adams her sons: Robert Emerson "Bob" Adams died 10/30/1995; Arthur Betten "Art" Adams died 3/19/2006; her step-son: Charles Noble Adams; her sisters: Virginia Carson, Helen Scudder & Grace Carver; her brothers: Albert R. "Dick" Carver & Robert L. Carver.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 11:00 am, by Bro. Floyd Parks at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may call 5:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana. MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of King's Daughters Hospital. Cards are available at the funeral home.
