AMELIA RUTH FOX FEATHERSTONE

RALEIGH - Amelia Ruth Fox Featherstone, 89, of Spring Arbor Assisted Living, formerly of 18 Glenview Road, Asheville, passed away February 14, 2012 at Rex Healthcare. She was born in Buncombe County on March 12, 1922 to the late James Folsom Fox and Amelia Knoblauch Fox. Amelia was a retired sales clerk in the sportswear department at Ivey's and Morrison's Furniture Store. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Asheville.

Graveside Service 1 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2012 at Green Hills Cemetery, 25 New Leicester Hwy., Asheville, NC 28806.

Surviving is her son, Terry Featherstone and wife, Mary, of Raleigh; and a Host of Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jennings Nye Featherstone; son, Larry Featherstone; brothers, Lewis and Bill Fox.
