She left this world a kinder and more beautiful place, when she died March 2, 2017.
A valiant mother to her four children, Jeff (Karen) Larsen, Janice (John) Clayton, Sherrie (David) Anthony, and Russ (Kay Lynn) Larsen, she also adored her twenty-three grandchildren and sixty-three great-grandchildren.
Long before she became the camping-trips grandma, she was the story-reading and walks to the park grandma. She was a devoted homemaker, master seamstress, teacher, neighbor, and friend to everyone she met.
She married her eternal companion, Chester Lavoy Larsen, on December 20, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they created a loving home, served five full-time LDS missions, and created all the gifts they gave their family. Her most memorable gifts were clothing, quilts, crocheted articles, temple aprons, and personal letters. Her hands were never idle and her prayers were an enabling source of strength to everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester; parents; an older brother, Marion S. Albrechtsen, Jr.; sister, Erma (Royce) Nielsen; brother, Beamen, and wife, Mary Albrechtsen; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Whittier Ward Chapel, 1515 South 200 East, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy.
