Trudy Arlene Adkins died on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Trudy's family and friends meant the world to her and she meant the world to us. She was a trusted confidante to many.
Trudy was one of the world's great optimists and strategists and she was grateful for all that she had been given in life. She was wicked smart, fall down funny and for her, life was a big adventure. Trudy was passionate about football especially her alma mater the WSU Cougars, good wine, great shoes, live music, a sunny afternoon at the Mariners game, the Hawaiian Islands, the Italian Riviera and the Institute for Systems Biology, where she had served for many years as a leader in finance and administration. Her deep love and connection with her husband, Doug was a joy to all of us.
Trudy was born on May 5, 1970 and we lost her way too soon. Her unwavering kindness, small town roots, fierce loyalty, marvelous sense of humor, breathtaking candor and amazing laugh that could more than fill a room will stay in our hearts forever. Trudy is survived by her husband, Doug Langdon; parents, Cheryl and Fred Everett; brother, James Adkins; and in-laws, Steve and Yvonne Langdon.
A celebration of Trudy's life will take place at Claquato Cemetery, 142 Stearns Rd. Chehalis, WA 98532 on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., with a reception and toast to Trudy immediately following at the Riverside Golf Course, 1451 NW Airport Rd. in Chehalis.
