Mrs. Frances Lorena Spoerle, age 95, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Gastonia, NC. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 in the Ellaville Cemetery.

Mrs. Spoerle was born October 6, 1921 in Colquitt County, the daughter of Ealy Terrel Jordan and Lila Daniel Jordan. She had taught at Freeman Business College, was past payroll clerk for the city of Ellaville, and was one of the first of ten people hired at Warner Robins Air Force Base, where she was the executive secretary to the post exchange officer. Mrs. Spoerle was a member of South Point Methodist Church in Belmont, NC.

Survivors include one daughter, Terry Spoerle of Belmont, NC; one son, Randy Spoerle of Belmont, NC; one brother, Daniel Leroy Jordan and wife Sue of Dawson, GA. Also surviving are five nieces, Carlene Howard, Darlene Paul, Jency Jordan, Judy Law and Susan Welch. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spoerle was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Spoerle and half-brothers, James Jordan , Robert Lee Jordan, and Bridges Jordan.
