Funeral services for Richard L. Rich' Hawks, 72, of Goodland and former Lamar resident will be held Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 11 a.m. (mountain time), at the Church of the Nazarene in Goodland, Ks. The Reverend Robert Willis will officiate. Burial will follow at the Goodland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Koons Chapel on Wednesday, July 21, from 5 until 7 p.m. (mountain time), and at the Church of the Nazarene from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Mr. Hawks died July 18, 2004, at the Goodland Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 28, 1931 in Goodland. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Hawks. He is survived by his wife, Lois Hawks of Goodland, Ks.; two daughters, Beth A. Harrison and her husband, Greg of Beloit, Ks., and Brenda L. Reese and her husband, Mike of Amarillo, Tx.; two grandchildren, Lexi Reese and Riley Reese; one brother, David L. Hawks and his wife, Lynda of Morgan Hills, Ca.; and two sisters, Beverly Hurd and her husband, Curtis of Goodland, Ks., and Marjorie Bevier and her husband, Warren of Prairie Grove, Ar. Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene, and may be left at or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 North Main, Goodland, Ks., 67735-1555.
