Charles was the son of Michael & Malinda "Fitts" Roseberry. His father died in 1867 when Charles was only 10. He was the grandson of Godfrey Roseberry who married Elizabeth Kline/Cline. His grandfather, Godfrey died in 1837 in Warren County, N.J. He was the great grandson of Joseph Roseberry & Fanny Roseberry .
Charles had two known brothers from the above marriage,
Alfred Carl Roseberry and John Anderson Roseberry. He also had a half brother, William F. Sayers whose mother was Malinda Fitts.
He married Rachel Crotsley, May 15, 1875 in Phillipsburg N.J.
In the will of his Great Aunt, Elizabeth Roseberry Anderson, the three children of Michael Roseberry, deceased son of her brother Godfrey were left an inheritance from her estate.
