Russell Leslie Allison, 98, of West Lafayette, Indiana, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.

He was born May 10, 1917 in Paris, Illinois to the late Jacob Blaine and Josie Lee (Decker) Allison.

His first marriage was to Sarah Elizabeth Frodge and she preceded him in 1958. His second marriage was to Vera Evelyn Anglin of Crawfordsville in 1962 and she also preceded him in death in 1970. He married Sarah Alice Harlan in 1972 and she too preceded him in death on September 6, 2006.

Mr. Allison worked for the late Alvin "Toad" Weaver on the farm for 20 years then Harrison Steel, Attica IN for 20 years and lastly, Wabash Center for 18 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Christ Church in Lafayette.

Survivors include a son; a daughter; two stepsons; two stepdaughters; a sister; and a special friend. Also surviving are five granddaughters and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death with his parents and wives are two sisters, Marie Logsdon and Belva Cadwallader; two grandsons; two granddaughters; a great granddaughter; and two stepsons.

NOTE: Russell had headstones in 3 different cemeteries. There is a headstone in West Point Cemetery in West Point, IN with his first wife Elizabeth, a headstone in New Richmond Cemetery in New Richmond, IN with his second wife Vera, and a headstone in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN with his third wife Sarah. Russell is buried here in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
