Mary E. Orzesek, 102, of Camillus, passed away in her sleep Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing. A lifetime resident of the Camillus area, she graduated from Marcellus High School in 1931 and from CCBI in 1932. Mary retired in 1977 after 40 years with St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Otto, in 1997; brother, Thomas Aherin; and sister, Margaret
Aherin.
Surviving are her nephews, Michael Aherin of Camillus, Timothy Aherin of Marcellus and Thomas Aherin of Camillus; and nieces, Catherine and Sue Aherin, both of Marcellus.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, October 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 15 at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Mary will be laid to rest in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marcellus Historical Society, P.O. Box 165, 18 North St., Marcellus, NY 13108.
