Sons: Tommy and Terry Linebergerorn in Matthews, NC to Thomas Moffatt Brown and Myrtle Sloan Brown on July 20, 1924, Doris graduated from Matthews High School and attended business school. In 1943, she married Ralph Lineberger and remained by his side until his death in 1988.

She worked as a secretary at Ashland Chemical Company where she retired and her true joy of life began. Doris loved to travel whether it was across town or across the country in their camper with Ralph. Later, her favorite destination was their beach house at Ocean Lakes Family Campground where she had many friends. Doris knitted and crocheted many gifts for friends and family over the years and loved making crafts, playing Bingo and card games, a large Diet Coke and a Wendy's Frosty.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ralph Lineberger and her husband of 2 years, Joe Picard, as well as siblings James Brown, Mary Hunter Linker, Myrtle Benton, Hugh Brown, Helen Beacham, and Nancy McLaughlin.

She is survived by sons Tom Lineberger (Marilyn) and Terry Lineberger (Elizabeth) of Charlotte; grandchildren Malinda Cobb (David), and Emily Lineberger of Charlotte, Laura Lineberger of Cary, NC, and Andrew Lineberger of Charlotte; great-grandchildren Tyler and Justin Cobb of Charlotte; brother Bobby Query of Indian Trail and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 17, 2017 at Forest Lawn West from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, and a service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 6701 Pleasant Grove Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of The Laurels at Highland Creek for her special care over the last 8 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.
