Sherbert Davis, better known as "Wank" by his family and freinds was the 3rd of 11 children born to the late Allen Davis Sr. and Mary Emily Meadows Davis on March 11th, 1935.
He was the eldest of my mother's male syblings.
A lot of Uncle Wank's life was shrouded in mystery and had a very shady quality to it. It seemed that he was a man who was possessed by many demons and he struggled with them all his life. Since I don't believe in slandering the dead, I will say that he did have some good qualities as well, but they were often overshadowed by his dark side. Being that people of his generation never openly discussed their greivances or life experiences, he was never able to verbalize the cause of the demons he suffered.
But he took them with him when he died of diabetes complications on April 17th, 2004 at the age of 69.
I pray that he has found some semblance of peace and mercy for the things that he did and which befell him while he was here.---May God Have Mercy On His Troubled Soul----
