Savanna – Services for William Fred Brose, 74, 734 Bowen Street, retired Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad switch foreman, who died Tuesday in Savanna City Hospital, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Frank Funeral Home, Mount Carroll. The Rev. Cyrus Pollard, pastor of Pleasant Valley Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Mount Carroll.
Mr. Brose was born in LaCrosse, Wis., son of Charles and Johanna [Bittner] Brose.
He is survived by his widow, the former Martha Poffenberger.
