Lavon Medders, age 98 of Diana, Texas passed away March 19, 2017. She was born September 21, 1918 in Winslow, Arkansas to William and Jane (Sutton) Hysell. She and family moved to California when she was 18 years old. There she met and married Jimmie Wesley Medders, a young marine. Lavon worked in the airplane industry during WWII, and NCR till she retired. When it came time for retirement, Lavon and Jimmie moved to Talihina, Oklahoma where he was born. She attended Falfa Baptist church and loved all her friends and family she was surrounded by. She loved to cook and knit and crochet. She loved her cows and chickens and she named them all! She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie, her Mother and Father and Granddaughter Shannon Medders Ford, her brothers Carney, Herman and Homer Hysell. She lived her last 8 years in Diana Texas surrounded by family and will be greatly missed. Services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 2:00 PM, at the Burkhart Funeral Service Chapel in Talihina, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Old Talihina Cemetery.
