On April 27, 1968, she married Lowell B. Tarrant.
Mrs. Tarrant loved flowers and friends. She loved the mountains, wildflowers, going camping with her family and life and believed in living life to the fullest every day.
Mrs. Tarrant was a member of Cheerful Learners, Milliken Fire Flies, Garden Club, St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. John's Catholic Church.
Mrs. Tarrant died Monday, Dec. 25,2006 at Centennial Health Care Center in Greeley.
Survivors: Her husband, Lowell B. Tarrant of Milliken; her son, Shane L. Tarrant, stationed in Colombia, South America, and wife Raquel of North Carolina; her mother, Theresa Benton of Cozad; her mother-in-law, Vivian Tarrant of Greeley; a sister, Kathy Nielsen and husband Rodney of Kearney, Neb.; two sisters-in-law, Susan Hass and Ann Tarrant; and a niece and nephew, Crystal Nielsen and Clint Nielsen.
Preceded in death by: Her father, Leslie "Pete" Benton; a brother, Jerry Benton; and her father-in-law, Bruce Tarrant.
