Halleck Brady Anderson, 87, of Rockport Indiana, passed away on March 23, 2017, at his home.



Halleck was born at home in Spencer County on March 17, 1930. He was the son of the late Robert and Bertha Anderson. Halleck graduated from Rockport High School in 1948 and married his first wife, Jean Reed, of Owensboro, Ky., in 1950. He graduated from barber school in Indianapolis in 1954, and over the next 40 years, he ran his own barber shop, retired from Whirlpool Corp. and was Rockport City Judge. He was a member of the Masonic lodge for over 50 years, spending some of those years as a Shriner.



Halleck was an active church member, attending First United Methodist of Rockport, Mt. Olive Methodist and Faith Temple throughout his life.



Halleck was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Jean Reed, daughter Carolyn Joy, siblings Bill, Charles, Wayne and Annie Best.



Halleck is survived by his wife of 29 years Carol Anderson; children Gloria (Don) Shepherd, Michael (Dottie) Anderson, Debra (Bill) Anderson, Jim(Joy) Anderson and Marilyn (Scot) Cone; step-children Randy Wedding, Brian Wedding, Jeff Houchin and James Houchin; sisters-in-law Virginia Ezell and Janice Houchin. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.



Visitation is Sunday March 26, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport: and after 12pm Monday. Masonic services will be Sunday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Services are Monday March 27th 2017 at 2:00 PM at Boultinghouse Funeral Home, with Mike Biggs officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
