William "Bill" Herman Head, 72, of Harrisburg, passed away at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at his residence in Harrisburg.
Bill was born April 18, 1934, in Harrisburg to the late Herman and Lucille (Foster) Head. He married Dorothy (Treece) Krikie, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 27, 1987. He was a retired coal miner for Peabody Coal Company. He was a member of the Raleigh Masonic Lodge.
Bill is survived by a daughter, Linda Underwood of Harrisburg; three sisters, Sara Lou (John) Mayden of Crown Point, Ind., Francis Harden of Harrisburg and Agnes (Harold) Feazel of Harrisburg; one brother, Pete (Rose) Head of Harrisburg; one grandson, Bobby Lowe; two great-granddaughters, Tara and Tanya Lowe; and one great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Meyer.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Dorothy; and two brothers, Gene and Emory Head.
