Dorayne A. Adkins, 78, of Cloquet, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born May 1, 1928 in Rice, Minn., to William and Freda (Block) Cekella. Dorayne worked as a cook for the Wrenshall High School for many years, and was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet and the Nicholas-Sellgren VFW Post 2962 Auxiliary in Carlton. Dorayne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Adkins; and one grandson, David Adkins. She is survived by two sons, William 'Bill' (Janet) Adkins of Barnum, and Donald (Elaine) Adkins of Vermillion, Minn.; daughter, Linda (Larry Moore) Fisher of Clairmore, Okla.; sister, Dorothy (Wilfred) Belden of Cloquet; six grandchildren, Stevie, Susie, Sarah, Jeff, John and Jodie; and 10 great-grandchildren. VISITATION:10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2007 until the 11 a.m. funeral mass in Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Cloquet. Spring interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery in Wrenshall. The family has selected Nelson Funeral Care to assist them with arrangements. See their online guest book at www.legacy.com.
