Hubert loved and cared for his wife of 56 years and was a good provider for his children. Down-to-earth and good-hearted, his kids never heard him speak a word of gossip about anyone. By example, he taught his children about honesty, integrity, working hard to earn your own way, as well as helping others. His grandchildren still remember riding on his horses, shelling pecans with him, his soft tickles, and walking with him through his garden. He spent many summers in Somerville with his wife Trudie, basking in the sunshine and enjoying nature as they walked by the lake or through the park. He will be sorely missed, but his family knows he is now with the Lord.

"Heavy" was an avid trail rider and had not missed a ride in decades until his health turned last year. He rode on local rides as well as major ones and served as scout, associate trail boss, and other positions. He was a devoted member of the Masons, holding several positions over the years. He was a member of the Bellville VFW and a proud patriot, serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and always believed in the basic principles that made this country great. He made many wonderful and dedicated friends through his activities.

Hubert was born to parents Walter and Lydia (Hines) Forse in Sabine County, Texas and was raised in Kirbyville. He and his twin brother, Herbert, were the babies of the family, the last children born after eight other brothers and sisters. On April 24, 1954 he was joined in marriage to the former Miss Trudie Mae McDaniel on her grandparent's porch in Kirbyville. Hubert worked for Cameron Iron Works, retiring after 39 years and he and his bride had four children.

Hubert is survived by his wife, Trudie Forse of Sealy; sons, Floyd Forse and wife, Charlene, of San Felipe, Walter Forse of Porter; daughters, Carolyn Furber and husband, Steven, of Sealy, Arlene Mask and husband, Ken, of Katy; brother, Dalton Forse and wife, Wanda, of Conroe; grandchildren, Margaret Furber Cecil and husband, Ryan, Steven Furber, Jr., Jonathan Forse and wife, Vanessa, Christopher Forse, Katie Mask, Cassandra Mask, Justin Forse, and Matthew Forse; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lydia Forse, and many brothers and sisters.
