LeRoy W. Buck, 74, of Chillicothe passed away at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home on Friday, March 24, 2017.

LeRoy was born on November 16, 1942 in Henry, the son of LeRoy L. and Emma L. (Wier) Buck. He married Thelma Jean "TJ" Thacker on August 28, 1971 in Chillicothe.

Surviving is his wife, TJ of Chillicothe; his children: Pam (Don) Starnes of Chillicothe, Lisa (Tim) Nichols of Carman, Fred (Jill) Murphy of Sparland, and Deborah Martinez of Texas; two sisters, Carole (John) Kuhl of Lacon and Karen (David) Davis of Lacon; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, James.

LeRoy was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1962 to 1968 and went to work for Caterpillar, Inc., retiring after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who for many years owned a cabin on the Mississippi River, where he loved to fish and enjoyed being outdoors.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
