Elizabeth Long Reppert died peacefully on March 24, 2017, in Sea Island, Georgia. Mrs. Reppert was born on March 30, 1923, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Jay Edgar Long and Anna Shaffer Long. She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and attended Denison University.

In 1944, she married Alfred Reed Reppert, and they lived in Clarksburg, West Virginia, before retiring to Sea Island, Georgia. Mr. Reppert died in 2012.


Mrs. Reppert, an avid gardener, was a member of the Goff Plaza Garden Club and the Sea Island Gardening Group. She was also a member of the Tuesday Club in Clarksburg. She was an active and energetic member of both communities in which she lived.


Mrs. Reppert is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Reppert Abruzzino and Anne Reppert Williams, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Abruzzino McConnell, David Reppert Abruzzino, and Stephen Reppert Williams, and her great grandsons, Frank Andrew McConnell and John Wright McConnell, Jr.


Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church, Clarksburg, West Virginia, followed by a private burial at the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, West Virginia, with the Reverend John Koerner presiding.
