Services honoring the life of Loren Aasby will be 1:00 p.m., Monday April 3, 2017 at Woodlake Church, Tulsa. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Hayhurst Funeral Home (1660 S. Elm Place, Broken Arrow, OK 74012) on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family there to receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Loren was born on Friday, September 30, 1949 in Estherville, Iowa, to Oliver Wendell and Vivian Mary (Bunkofske) Aasby. Loren passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the age of 67.

Loren graduated from Estherville High School in 1967 and continued his education at Mankota State University and Iowa State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in History and Physical Education. During this time at Iowa State University, Loren played baseball taking his team all the way to the World Series. Loren worked in Management at Oklahoma Methodist Manor.

On July 24, 1971 Loren married Barbara "Barb" Liebelt at the First Assembly in Des Moines, Iowa. Their union was blessed with daughter, Tara. Loren was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He adored his family and loved spending time with them, especially his granddaughters.

Memorials may be made to Woodlake Church, 7100 E. 31st St., Tulsa, OK 74145.
