Betty J. Hutton, 62, formerly of Berwick, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Berwick Retirement Village II, where she had been a resident for the past 1 ½ years. She had been having health problems for the past 10 years and had lived much of that time at the former East Side Manor.
Born Oct. 18, 1943, in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Mary E. Klinetob Moyer, a resident of Berwick Retirement Village II, and the Lawrence K. Moyer.
During her working years, she was employed by Country Maid; Columbia Montour Home Health as a LPN; Haney Security; Wise Potato Chip; and Lady Ester Corp. until health forced her retirement.
She was a member of Evansville United Methodist Church, Evansville, and a former member of Briar Creek Grange and the Bloomsburg Moose.
Betty had many interests, including crocheting, knitting, bowling and quilting. She also liked to draw.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, Brian S. Hutton, Berwick; two daughters: Paul Ann Miller and her husband, Matthew, of Evansville; Kristie Rospendowski of Berwick; five grandchildren; and a sister, Ruthann A. Moyer of Fort Myers, Fla.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Juen24, 2006, at 2 p.m. from the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home, 1024 Market St., Berwick, with the Rev. Donald W. Miller, retired Methodist pastor and friend, officiating. Burial will be in Briar Creek Union Cemetery, Briar Creek Township. Friends will be received Saturday at 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
