Truett Aaron 87, of Texarkana, Texas died Thursday, March 30, 2017 in a local nursing facility. He was born on January 13, 1929 in Texarkana, Texas to Eugene Fletcher Aaron and Sarah Teague Aaron.

He was retired from Wadley Medical Center as the lead Maintenance Technician. He was the one guy who knew everything about the inner workings of the boiler at Wadley Hospital and kept it running smoothly. He had also seen the country as a professional truck driver.

He was a lover of all things musical and had taught violin lessons until he was 85. Truett loved to sing and had written a book also. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Aaron, a son-in-law, Jason Raney and two brothers, Charles Jerry Aaron and Eugene Aaron.

He is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Gail and Chris Phillips, Linda Raney and Kathy Hill; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one brother J.C. Aaron and a very special friend and caregiver, Jean Boyd.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Brother Harvey Cornelius officiating. Burial will follow in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
