G. B. Orr, Attorney for Santa Fe, Carried Out to Sea While Bathing Near San Diego, Cal.
San Diego, Cal., July 22.---G. B. Orr, attorney for the Santa Fe Railway at Atchison, Kan., drowned at Lajolla [sic] Beach yesterday in sight of his bride of a few weeks. The Orrs were on their honeymoon. Orr was lying on the beach watching the breakers as they came toward him. The tide was rising and he remarked to his bride that he would lie there until the waves carried him out. A few minutes later a breaker caught him up and carried him out to sea. He was caught by the underflow and his body has not been recovered. Mrs. Orr is near death.
