Jack B. Taylor, age 69, passed January 28, 2007, at his residence in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. He was born September 5, 1937, in Los Angeles, California to John and Gertrude Taylor. As a child, Jack was in several motion pictures, including: "Made For Each Other" with Jimmy Stewart and Carole Lombard, "Edison, The Man" with Spencer Tracy, and the Christmas favorite, "Miracle on 42nd Street". Jack graduated from South Gate High School in 1956. He was active in DeMolay, as well as the Masons later. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force. He served in England on SAC bases as a meteorologist. His rank was Airman 2nd Class and he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal. After his tour of duty was completed, he went to the General Motors Dealer Management School in Flint, Michigan. Jack worked for his father at J.M. Taylor Motors, located South Gate, CA., in the sales department for many years. When his father retired from the car automobile business, Jack then moved to other dealerships, including being the Sales Manager for Crestview Cadillac in Covina. Jack also worked in the insurance and transportation fields. Wherever he was he was admired and respected by his peers and management alike. Jack had achieved his aviation pilot's license and enjoyed flying planes for many years. He was also a ham radio operator since his teenage years. His call sign was KD6VTL. Jack was an excellent low handicap golfer. He is survived by: his mother, Gertrude E. Taylor, 96, Fullerton, CA, his brother, Jerry Taylor, Henderson, NV; his sister, Marilynn Jordan, Lake Arrowhead, CA. Jack had four children: Cheryl Murphy, Coeur D'Alene, ID; Debbie Taylor, San Pedro, CA; Jane Walton, Anaheim Hills, CA; and Jon Taylor, San Bernardino, CA. Jack had eight grandchildren: Lauren Provenzana, Justin Ashby, James Murphy II, Brittany Walton, Erin Walton, Jillian Taylor, Megan Taylor, Rachel Taylor, There are two great-grandchildren: Makenna and Aubrey. Jack also leaves his past wives: Jill, Marie and special friend, Doris. The funeral was held February 6, 2007 in the Memory Chapel at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA.
