She also descended from Oliver Cope (also from England, who came to the State of Pennsylvania with William Penn. Additional ancestors of Anna Maude include at least two Revolutionary War soldiers (John Nicholas Hoffman and Benjamin Buffington). The Hoffman family of the Lykens Valley had numerous patriots involved in the Revolution and the War of 1812.
