Ruth Conaway Mannherz, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was the wife of her loved husband, Walter F. Mannherz, to whom she was married for almost 60 years after an 8 year courtship which started in 8th grade. Born in Philadelphia, Ruth was the daughter of the late James P. and Isabel (Craig) Conaway. She graduated from Cheltenham High School in 1953 where she was class secretary. She graduated from Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington DC, in 1955. Ruth played field hockey and basketball. Ruth was a secretary until she became a fulltime homemaker after her children were born. Ruth served as a past president of the local chapters of the Paoli(PA) Hospital Auxiliary, Newcomers of Birmingham, MI., and the PEO of Bethlehem. She was also a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem (FPCB) serving as a deacon and circle chair. Survivors: husband Walter; son Daniel C. Mannherz and daughter Catherine Mannherz Hunt, both of Wesley Chapel, Florida. Ruth was predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister, Louise C. Reese. Also survived by 2 nephews and a great niece and nephew
