Lewis was born in Waco, Texas, to Lewis Vernon Ellis, Sr. and Deola Benjamine. He was the seond of six children born to the Ellis couple.
The family moved to Odessa at an early stage in his life. He attended Douglas Elementary, Blackshear Junior High and Ector Hight School. Flubba was a jack of all trades. He was employed with Adela Vocotks for fifteen years.
He is preceded in death by both parents. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Rose Ellis of Midland; sisters, Jo Ann Fincher of Cleburn, Texas, Rose Marie Ellis of Midland, Texas, Mary Ann Ellis of Odessa, Texas, Janice Ellis of Midland, Texas, and Toron Ellis of Cleburn, Texas; sons, Reagan Young of Odessa, Texas, Lewis V. Ellis, III, and wife Yolanda Ellis, Trey Ellis, Evangelina Ellis, and Lewis Ellis, IV, all of Odessa, Texas and a host of relatives.
